— 9 year old Rajae

December 21st, 1993, a star was born inside of a little baby girl named Rajae. She knew she was destined for greatness, writing her first rhymes at just 10 years old. Since then, she has maintained her passion for music, life, activism, and creativity.

Born in the beautiful chocolate city, New Orleans. My favorite thing about being a New Orleans native is my cultural history. My family alone on both sides have dated back to this city for centuries. If you know New Orleans, you know we are heavy on our musical influence and our culinary influence. As a kid, my mom would play music while she cooked our meals, music when we cleaned the house and music when we just wanted to catch a vibe. Music has always been prevalent in my life. To be a musician was the very first dream I had as a child. To see myself grow and accomplish so much musically truly makes me proud of who I have become.

My locs represent so much more than just me. They represent loyalty, dedication, patience, confidence, and self love. My locs keep my head leveled and my mind free to think consciously”
